Most of the neighborhoods at Preston include the name of the community, which was started in 1987 by a Texas corporation. By the early '90s, the community had grown to include 421 lots within eight neighborhoods, named Fairways, Falls Villas, Highlands, Ponds, Point, Trace, Greens and Pines. But that was only the start.
These days, the Preston community is comprised of over 1,600 homes situated on 1,950 acres and within 30 neighborhoods! The golf course includes not only a recreational and full-sized lap pool and nine lighted tennis courts, but a full-service fitness and swim center, as well as a luxurious clubhouse complete with a variety of meeting and banquet rooms.
And let's not forget the details: Currently all split rail fencing in the neighborhood is being changed to metal and/or brick materials. In all cases, homes show the results of a very involved Homeowners Association (HOA) which meets monthly to approve common requests such as screened-in porches, to more complex wishes like stamped concrete driveways or fountains. The sky is truly the limit for these homes, whose styles can switch from Mediterranean to French Provincial in one driveway's length. The one thing they all have in common is a true sense of attention to every detail.
From the moment you drive into any one of Preston's many neighborhoods, you will get a sense that you are somewhere special. The winding streets and glimpses of water provided by the grounds at Prestonwood, all transport you to a quieter, calmer place. But don't worry! Within minutes in any direction, you will find the area's best grocery stores, banks, urgent care centers, schools (both public and private), and anything else your heart could desire! Clearly, this neighborhood and its HOA are doing something right!
