Wake County's 2008 Revaluation Process
As of January 1, 2008, Wake County property owners underwent a revaluation of the real estate within their municipalities. Performed by a professional appraisal firm, this mass appraisal of all real estate within Wake County’s borders revalued every property at their “current” market value. Property values were established by carefully evaluating a multitude of factors. These include the physical attributes of the home, such as its:
- location,
- lot dimensions,
- square footage,
- age, and
- condition.
